Family law (also called matrimonial law or the law of domestic relations) is an area of the law that deals with family matters and domestic relations.

Issues may arise in family law where there is a question as to the laws of the jurisdiction that apply to the marriage relationship or to custody and divorce, and whether a divorce or child custody order is recognized under the laws of another jurisdiction.[9] For child custody, many nations have joined the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction in order to grant recognition to other member states' custody orders and avoid issues of parental kidnapping.

Property law is the area of law that governs the various forms of ownership in real property (land as distinct from personal or movable possessions) and personal property, within the common law legal system. Although a tenancy involves rights to real property, a leasehold estate is typically considered personal property, being derived from contract law. In the civil law system, the distinction is between movable and immovable property, with movable property roughly corresponding to personal property, while immovable property corresponding to real estate or real property, and the associated rights, and obligations thereon.

The concept, idea or philosophy of property underlies all property law. In some jurisdictions, historically all property was owned by the monarch and it devolved through feudal land tenure or other feudal systems of loyalty and fealty.

Corporate law (also known as business law or enterprise law) is the body of law governing the rights, relations, and conduct of persons, companies, organizations and businesses. The term refers to the legal practice of law relating to corporations, or to the theory of corporations. Corporate law often describes the law relating to matters which derive directly from the life-cycle of a corporation.[1] It thus encompasses the formation, funding, governance, and death of a corporation.

Corporate law regulates how corporations, investors, shareholders, directors, employees, creditors, and other stakeholders such as consumers, the community, and the environment interact with one another. Business law means the law relating to the business corporation (or business enterprises), i.e. capital raising (through equity or debt), company formation, registration, etc.

Bankruptcy is a legal process through which people or other entities who cannot repay debts to creditors may seek relief from some or all of their debts. In most jurisdictions, bankruptcy is imposed by a court order, often initiated by the debtor.

Bankrupt is not the only legal status that an insolvent person may have, and the term bankruptcy is therefore not a synonym for insolvency.

Sarah was tough for me when I couldn’t be during a trying time in my life. I never had to wonder or worry about the details - she explained everything to me thoroughly and was so quick to inform me of changes and updates as soon as they came along. I trust whole heartedly that she had my best interest throughout the entire process and did everything she could to make the process smooth and easy!

I cannot say enough great things about Sarah Coursey Jones, Attorney! The customer service that I received was phenomenal! From the moment of my initial contact, I felt as though she respected my sense of urgency and concern thus worked diligently to provide prompt attention to my pressing legal matter. She also respected my lack of knowledge in legal matters and worked to explain each and every detail in a very timely and empathetic manner. She is very knowledgeable, professional and positive. I never doubted that she always “had my back” and believed in what she does. She has a profound way of projecting a kind and gentle demeanor while at the same time, “fighting” determinedly with grace and poise for the needs of her clients. FIVE STARS for sure!!!

Sarah is long time resident of Murray as well as a known philanthropist working closely with the community in various ways and organizations. Sarah is a caring, empathic person and attorney. She is grounded in her work ethic and will work diligently to represent her clients and their needs.
